POST Luxembourg selects cybersecurity platform Ericsson Security Manager to elevate mobile network security
June 30

- POST Luxembourg has chosen Ericsson Security Manager (ESM) platform to leverage advanced automation and telecom-specific threat detection.
- Collaboration builds on prior adoption of Ericsson Threat Intrusion and Detection System (TIDS), strengthening defenses against evolving cyber threats.
- Partnership sets a new standard for telecom cybersecurity, supporting compliance with rising industry regulations and protecting critical infrastructure.
POST Luxembourg, the leading telecommunications provider in Luxembourg, has chosen Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) as its strategic security partner in a long-term agreement. The agreement involves deploying the industry-leading Ericsson Security Manager (ESM) to enhance security automation and cyber defense across its mobile network infrastructure. This move underscores POST Luxembourg’s leadership in providing resilient, reliable, and secure mobile communication services for businesses, citizens, and all mission-critical sectors, including public safety, utilities, transportation and defense.
Today’s highly digitalized and interconnected world relies deeply on robust mobile networks for everything from public safety to commerce. These essential services face an unprecedented rise in targeted, sophisticated cyberattacks, both from cybercriminals intent on fraud and nation-state actors conducting espionage. Therefore, enhanced end-to-end security of mobile network is now a key priority.
Ericsson Security Manager is a purpose-built, automation-driven platform designed to provide holistic cyber defense for multi-vendor 5G mobile networks, addressing the unique and evolving risk landscape of telecommunications. Building on the successful integration of POST Luxembourg’s Threat Intrusion and Detection System (TIDS) in early 2024, the adoption of ESM marks a significant expansion of the collaboration between the two companies. ESM delivers continuous network visibility, advanced threat detection, automated security policy enforcement, and comprehensive protection against a broad range of telecom-specific threats.
Pierre Zimmer, Deputy managing director and Chief Strategy Officer of POST Luxembourg, says: “Our collaboration with Ericsson demonstrates our dedication to being at the forefront of cyber defense and mobile network security. By integrating Ericsson Security Manager into our operations, we are strengthening the resilience of our mobile networks and reaffirming our commitment to deliver secure, uninterrupted communication services to all our customers.”
Fabrice Sancho, Head of Ericsson BeLux says: “In today’s environment, the gap between the sophistication of threat actors and traditional protective measures is widening. Our cybersecurity platform Ericsson Security Manager empowers communication service providers like POST Luxembourg to address mobile networks related threat exposure, to respond to advanced risks, and to achieve a consistently high security posture. We are proud to deepen our partnership with POST Luxembourg as they set new benchmarks for telecom security and regulatory compliance.”
As regulations tighten worldwide, such as the European Union’s upcoming NIS2 directive (Network and Information Systems Directive 2) requiring stringent security measures for 5G and critical infrastructure, POST Luxembourg is proactively fortifying its security leadership. By leveraging ESM’s automation, micro-perimeter protection, and telecom-specific detection capabilities, POST Luxembourg meets the most demanding security and compliance standards while protecting customer privacy and ensuring continuous service availability.
The joint efforts of POST Luxembourg and Ericsson exemplify a best-in-class approach to telecom cybersecurity for C-level executives, Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) and Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs). As the mobile threat landscape evolves, this strategic partnership safeguards both critical infrastructure and the trust of subscribers, businesses, and society at large.
